Bugalwena

From the Bundjalung Nation Language meaning “..good/to heal or recover..”
The Bugalwena Service is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community service that provides crisis counselling, listening, resources support, advocacy and referral service. This service was first established in 1991 and is operated by both community volunteers and professional staff. Bugalwena continues to develop as a partnership with our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community and Health Service for the better health and future of our people.
Bugalwena Service specialises in two areas:
- Crisis Intervention & Counselling with support workers
- Health Education and Health Issues

Both can be contacted via Bugalwena Reception on (07) 5506 7597. Hours: 8.00am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
